The Enchant era isn’t ENTIRELY gone, guys. A Bit O’ This & That was released a year after Opheliac. It had a remix of Chambermaid and a remix of What If - two Enchant songs. It also included By The Sword - an EP released in the Enchant era.
Actually all of the songs except from Miss Lucy Had Some Leeches, The Star Spangled Banner, With Every Passing Day and Always Look At The Bright Side was recorded in the Enchant era.
Emilie helped me to beat guilt issues when she made Rose Red. It’s one of the best songs ever made.
It’s actually a kind of “rewriting” of an old folk song, not solely EA’s work. But yeah, it’s a very beautiful and empowering song.

I’m a bit late to the jamjars/Jamie Ryan Dee that comment party, but I just wanted to say something to him, regardless of his apology. Actually, it applies to essentially every snowflake. Aly, Felice, 99lbss. Especially Felice and 99lbss.

I’m seventeen, tall, blonde, blue-eyed, pale as fuck, and, anorexic. I was first diagnosed with anorexia at age fifteen. I was down to eating nothing but lettuce, water, and kumquats. I weighed ninety four pounds. I am five foot seven.
One event, really, triggered my eating disorder, because I was a perfectly healthy teenager until then: My joining of tumblr, and following you. I followed you because, damn, you were sexy as hell. I thought the same of Aly Antorcha. Over time, you, and some other triggering factors on tumblr (thinspo everywhere, et cetera) combined to bring about my doom. I got to the frame of mind that, he’s a boy and he’s skinnier than me! I had to lose the weight. I nearly died, Jamie.
And now? I’m relapsing. I’ve tried to stop but I just can’t. The bad thoughts won’t go away. I should quit tumblr. Just like Aly.

I have been dealing with eating disorders for years, and I find this utterly ridiculous. Anorexia is not just about vanity and looking like a supermodel or “those people on tumblr”. It’s much deeper than that. Weight loss pressure doesn’t cause anorexia, let alone some random person who hasn’t done anything but being thin.
Either you were already ill and triggered by them, or you were just a stupid girl who decided to starve herself because you wanted to be pretty, which eventually turned into anorexia. You seriously can’t blame them for either, especially not JamJars or Felice(I don’t know much about the others), he’s just a thin guy comfortable in his own body and Felice has even stated to be against weight pressure, thinspo and all that shit. Don’t get me wrong; I know what kind of hell it is you’re going through, and I feel with you. The thing is that you can’t blame others for your own illness. If the sight of a person skinnier than you really trigger you this badly, you do have a huge problem. Because skinny people do exist, and you can’t expect them to change their lifestyle only because you’re not able to solve your own personal issue.
Just because you’ve been in a mental hospital and was treated well doesn’t mean all mental hospitals are like that. Because trust me, there ARE still mental hospitals that treat the inmates like nothing but numbers. Also, rape can happen EVERYWHERE, especially a place where someone has such power over another as doctors have over inmates.
Tonight I was hit with a hand full of eggs and huge rock on my back and called “Nigger” by a white guy in the backseat of a dark blue truck as I was riding my bike on Westheimer and Jeanetta. They drove too fast for me to get the license plate number. I had to get a cop to drive me home. This night makes me wonder how blacks did it back in the day, and why the community is looking the way it is now. I am trying not to cry, but I am in physical pain from the rock and not understanding why I deserved this.
